Sint-Laurentius is een bakstenen neogotische kerk gebouwd in 1922 naar een ontwerp van Henri Carbon en Henri Pil uit Oostende. Deze architecten stonden ook in voor het ontwerp van het meubilair.
Om de toegankelijkheid te optimaliseren werd besloten om, tegen de conventie in, de toegang te oriënteren naar de Westendelaan en niet, zoals gebruikelijk, met het koor gericht naar het oosten.
Het interieur is onbepleisterd wat het geheel een sobere en strakke uitstraling geeft.
In het koor zit er een gebrandschilderd raam dat een voorstelling geeft van de Zeven Sacramenten. Het werd vervaardigd door het huis Desmet uit Brugge.
