De pastorie van de Sint-Mattheusparochie werd gebouwd in de 18de eeuw in rococostijl en ligt een ommuurde en beboomde tuin. De parochie behoorde sinds 1183 tot het tiendenrecht van de Sint-Pietersabdij van Gent.
