Je bevindt je hier naast het lokaal van de Nielse Kanoclub De Rupelsneppen met daarachter de Firma Beton Coeck. Tot 1856 stond hier een stenen windmolen om olie te persen. Die werd in 1699
opgericht door Jan Kinnie, op de restanten van het vroeger Fort De Sterre, vlak tegen de Rupel. En hier speelt de legende van ‘t Kennieke, beter gekend als “Het spook van het Cementfabriek” zich af... Luister en huiver mee, “oep z’n Niels”.
