Rij verder richting Mechelen. Om de drukke baan met files te omzeilen: sla even voor het volgende rond punt rechts af richting Leest. Aan het einde van die weg naar links, wederom richting Mechelen.
We naderen nu de brug over de Zenne. Wie zijn picknick of vieruurtje mee heeft, kan hier net voor de brug aan de linkerkant een schaduwplekje vinden om even te verpozen.
Ooit was de Zenne bevaarbaar, tussen Brussel en het Zennegat, waar de Zenne uitmondt in de Dijle. Maar die tijd is lang voorbij. De Zenne stond jarenlang bekend voor zijn onwelriekende geur, aangezien het Brussels afvalwater in de Zenne terecht kwam.
Vervolg weer richting Mechelen.
Hier duikt de Sint-Romboutstoren op en de schouw van Brouwerij Het Anker waar nog steeds Carolus wordt gebrouwen.
