Het klooster Breitenau was een benedictijnerabdij in de plaats Breitenau van de gemeente Guxhagen bij Kassel, in het toenmalige "Breiten Aue" aan de samenvloeiing van de Eder en de Fulda. Vanaf de 19e eeuw werd het complex gebruikt als "verbeteringsinstelling" en vanaf 1974 als psychiatrisch ziekenhuis. Tijdens de tijd van het nationaal-socialisme was in het klooster het KZ Breitenau ondergebracht.
