De beklimming van de Katzenknipp is een prachtig kleinood in de Nordeifel. De klim vanuit Schevenhütte start over de vrij rustige Landesstraße 25 (die zijn ook het steilst) enkele kilometers later takt een goed geasfalteerde weg af door de bossen die verboden voor autoverkeer is. Zo kun je in alle rust tot in het dorpje Großhau klimmen, met soms een prachtig panorama op de omgeving.
