Op 20 januari 1992 verongelukte een Airbus A320 van de Air-Inter vlucht 148 in de Vogezen nabij de Odilienberg. De plaats van het ongeval ligt op de berg La Bloss. Bij het ongeluk kwamen 87 van de 96 inzittenden om het leven.
Op 20 januari 1992 om 19:20 uur stortte de Airbus A320-111 van de Franse luchtvaartmaatschappij Air Inter neer tijdens de landing op de luchthaven van Straatsburg, ten zuiden van de Odilienberg, op de aangrenzende berg "La Bloss". Het vliegtuig was op een lijnvlucht van de luchthaven Lyon-Satolas naar Straatsburg. De piloten werden, omdat Air Inter het vliegtuig niet had uitgerust met een grondaanvalwaarschuwingssysteem, niet gewaarschuwd voor de dreigende impact. Het ongeval vond plaats 's nachts, in mist of lage wolken en lichte sneeuw.
