Tantallon Castle is het laatste middeleeuwse vliesgevel kasteel dat in Schotland wordt gebouwd. Tantallon werd gebouwd in het midden van de 14e eeuw. Er is ook een spookverhaal gerelateerd aan dit kasteel. In maart 2009 bracht psychologieprofessor Richard Wiseman een foto uit van Tantallon. Die foto liet een persoon zien die achter een reling in een muuropening stond. Wiseman verklaarde dat er geen gekostumeerde gidsen aanwezig waren bij Tantallon. Drie fotografische experts hebben bevestigd dat het beeld niet is gemanipuleerd. Een tweede foto, 30 jaar eerder gemaakt en met een ander figuur op een vergelijkbare locatie, werd een paar dagen later in The Scotsman geprint.
