De Mourne Mountains ( Iers : na Beanna Boirche ), ook wel de Mournes of Mountains of Mourne genoemd , zijn een granieten bergketen in County Down in het zuidoosten van Noord-Ierland . Het omvat de hoogste bergen in Noord-Ierland en de provincie Ulster . De hoogste hiervan is Slieve Donard op 850 m (2.790 ft). De Mournes is een Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty en is voorgesteld als het eerste nationale park in Noord-Ierland. Het gebied is deels in handen van de National Trust en ontvangt elk jaar veel bezoekers. De naam Mourne (historisch gespeld Mourne ) is afgeleid van de naam van een Gaelische clann of sept genaamd de Múghdhorna .
