De watertoren aan de Damweg in Lopik krijgt een nieuwe bestemming met circa vijf appartementen, mogelijkheden voor een bed & breakfast, een vergaderlocatie en misschien horeca. Ook wordt de toren toegankelijk voor bezoekers.
Het Schoonhovense bedrijf Verstoep Bouwkundigen is bezig hiervoor een plan uit te werken. Verstoeps plan is als beste beoordeeld door de verkopende makelaar Cushman & Wakefield en de vorige eigenaar, drinkwaterbedrijf Vitens. Verstoep concurreerde met vier andere inzenders.
