Het getto van Łódź was het op een na grootste getto dat werd ingericht voor Joden en Roma-zigeuners in het Duits-bezette Polen. Gelegen in het centrum van Łódź en oorspronkelijk bedoeld als een tijdelijke verzamelpunt voor Joden, werd het getto omgevormd tot een belangrijk industrieel centrum, en bood het de broodnodige benodigdheden voor nazi-Duitsland en vooral voor het Duitse leger. Vanwege zijn opmerkelijke productiviteit, wist het getto in stand te blijven tot augustus 1944, toen de resterende bevolking werd afgevoerd naar Auschwitz en vernietigingskamp Chełmno. Het was het laatste getto in Polen dat werd geliquideerd.
