When you move, you leave something behind. This experience is particularly intense in nature - for example, on the "BackFitPath" in Bad Laer, one of four health paths in the Osnabrück region.
Stress and hustle and bustle increasingly fade into the background, every step makes the strains of everyday life fade a little more. The mind becomes clear because the body does what it was born to do: move.
Using simple explanations in German and English, the BackFitPath on the Blomberg shows the anatomically correct posture and how to achieve it. At six stations, a task is explained in words and pictures on a display board. One of the exercises specifically trains the deep muscles of the back, for example: bend the upper body forward with a straight back while pushing the sitting bones back. The knees remain vertical above the heels. In this "bent knee bend," gently tap the heels on the ground.
The forest floor has the advantage of allowing for a slight vibration, which is good for the joints. In addition, the body must compensate for bumps and dips in the uneven terrain while walking. An important change from our daily lives, where we have made ourselves so comfortable that we must consciously create conditions without aids such as elevators and paved roads to challenge the body.
The health path is designed so that any healthy layperson can walk it alone. So, let's head to the BackFitPath. Through the gentle exercises along the 5.1-kilometer circular course, you will achieve a new running pleasure, which trains your own self-awareness and mindfulness.
You will learn to replace disease-causing habits with conscious movements that protect the joints in everyday life. With optimal posture from toe to crown - referred to in physiotherapy as "tensioning" - you will also, almost 'in passing', gain more self-confidence and joy in life. Because, as we know, these ultimately lie in an upright posture.
