Budjak fou el nom històric de la part sud de Bessaràbia . El nom el donaven al territori els cumans que hi havia assentats i volia dir "cantonada". Actualment forma part de l'óblast d'Odessa, a Ucraïna. Dels raions d'aquest óblast els següents són al Budjak històric:
La seva població el 2001, excloses les ciutats d'Izmaïl i Bílhorod-Dnistrovski, era de 481.000 habitants, i les dues ciutats tenien 136.200 habitants, cosa que dóna una població total de 616.200 habitants.
