La Sint Baafs è l'unica chiesa in Scheldegotico nei Paesi Bassi. Fu fondata dai monaci dell'abbazia di St. Baafs nel 959. La cappella dell'epoca servì da punto di partenza per l'attuale chiesa. Durante i lavori di restauro dopo la Seconda Guerra Mondiale, sono emersi sarcofagi con affreschi funerari del XIV e XV secolo. Ogni sera alle 20 suona la Papklok. In passato, ciò significava la chiusura delle porte della città. Ogni anno qui viene eseguita la Passione secondo Matteo di Johann Sebastian Bach. In questo ambiente suggestivo, i suoni risuonano ancora meglio.
