Café owner An De Prijck of café In den Hengst is the owner of one of the most authentic and cozy cafes in Flanders. An sits among her customers next to the Leuven stew, together with her husband Danny Van Der Meulen and children Lotte and Silke. The café is located in the Twaalfbunderstraat in a terraced house, which used to be an old farm. The Flemish Living Room atmosphere has been completely preserved. Since 1850, people have been coming here to quench their thirst, and are treated to it... At the back is a fake stallion and in the café you can shoot ... and on cycling high days, the TV is invariably turned on here for following the race... The previous owner, Anna de Ridder, kept the café open until she was 99... So keeping a café should be a healthy activity ... ??!!
