The bathing establishment is a public bathhouse in the center of the city of Luxembourg that has been in operation since 1875.
In the late 19th century and at the beginning of the 20th century, many places in Europe built urban baths that served both public hygiene and physical fitness. Such an urban bath also increased the reputation of a community in public. The bathhouse was built from 1873 to 1875 by the Luxembourg architect Pierre Funck together with his father-in-law, the architect Jean-François Eydt.
