The Sierre and Salgesch regions and environs are located on the right bank of the Rhone River. Due to its many days of sunshine, Sierre is frequently nicknamed the "City of Sun". Starting from Sierre station (542m), the bus takes you along the Val d'Anniviers road. After a few hairpin bends and driving through the valley's canyons, exit the bus at the Pontis stop in Fribougxe (1001m). After a rather strenuous hour-long walk you will come across a small paradise called Soussillon (1388m). Continue ascending for another 30 minutes to arrive at the village of Chandolin (1868m). Hike from Chandolin to La Tuelle and Lebing before reaching St-Luc (1655m).
