Der Vogelpark in Maria Veen wurde 1971 gegründet und wird vom Natur- und Vogelschutzverein (Vorsitzender Werner Homoet: Tel. 02864/2808) betreut. Die Besucher erwartet in der herrlich im Wald gelegenen Anlage eine stattliche Vogelwelt. Ca. 50 verschiedene Arten von Sittichen und Aras haben hier ihr Zuhause. Das stets gepflegte Areal mit seinen über 400 Vögeln in rund 90 Volieren ist weit über die Ortsgrenzen hinaus bekannt. An jedem dritten Sonntag im Monat findet die Vogel- und Kleintierbörse statt (von 9:00 bis 12:00 Uhr).
