This do-it-yourself walk from Brukselbinnenstebuiten takes us to the Zavel district. This area was once home to the nobility, close to the palace and power. Even today, it is still a very chic neighborhood, although the historical heritage has not always been spared. Interestingly, Zavel is right next to Brussels' most famous working-class neighborhood, the Marolles. At the beginning of the walk, we explore the border between the two neighborhoods. We see the differences, but also how both neighborhoods flow into each other. We end the exploration at metro station Louiza.
