As the name suggests, this tour is about iron and coal mining in Georgsmarienhütte. The route around the steelworks leads through the Dütetal and the hilly Osnabrücker Land between Malbergen and Kloster Oesede. Some of the paths are poorly paved and there are some steep ascents to be expected.
