Westergo

This route is plotted in the sea clay landscape of the Northern Netherlands. The route runs through the sea clay area in Northwest Friesland.
The northern sea clay area includes two landscape types: older sea clay polders and recent sea clay polders.
The older sea clay polders consist of an alternation of salt marsh (ridges formed parallel to the coast) and salt marsh basins (relatively low zones between the salt marsh walls).
The landscape of the recent sea clay polders consists, in addition to the reclamations of the Middelzee, Lauwerszee and Dollard, mainly of land reclamation along the Wadden Sea coast.
The tour starts and ends at the carpool place at restaurant Zürich (De Poort van Friesland).
