Il volo El Al 402, operato dalla compagnia di bandiera israeliana El Al con un quadrimotore Lockheed Constellation, era un volo di linea internazionale previsto da Vienna a Tel Aviv via Istanbul effettuato il 27 luglio 1955 e che, sconfinato nello spazio aereo bulgaro, fu abbattuto da due aerei da caccia MiG-15 bulgari nei pressi di Petrič in Bulgaria. Nessun sopravvissuto tra i 51 passeggeri, né tra i 7 membri dell'equipaggio.Fu uno dei molti episodi che caratterizzarono l'epoca della guerra fredda in Europa.
