Il Museo di Storia Culturale di Magdeburgo è un museo a Magdeburgo, fondato nel 1906 originariamente come Museo Kaiser-Friedrich orientato all’arte. Il museo si concentra su mostre permanenti e temporanee riguardanti la storia della città. Inoltre, vengono presentati pezzi di arte storica. Nello stesso edificio si trova anche il Museo di Storia Naturale di Magdeburgo.
Dopo diverse istituzioni precedenti, il Museo di Storia Culturale di Magdeburgo è stato inaugurato il 17 dicembre 1906 come Museo Kaiser-Friedrich. Il primo direttore del museo fu l'arte storico Theodor Volbehr. Dopo numerosi doni e acquisti privati dall'Europa, i nazionalsocialisti, a partire dal 1933, si impegnarono a rimuovere oggetti indesiderati. Durante la Seconda Guerra Mondiale, l'edificio del museo fu gravemente danneggiato. Inoltre, andò perso un ampio campione di collezioni depositate, tra cui il famoso dipinto di Vincent van Gogh Il pittore in cammino verso Tarascon. Successivamente, l'edificio fu ampiamente ricostruito, restaurato e le collezioni ampliate. Inoltre, il Museo di Storia Naturale si trasferì nell'edificio dell'ex Museo Kaiser-Friedrich.
