Bourscheid "BS 5" met zicht op het kasteel

Wij deden deze luswandeling op 21-12-2021. Voor de route maakten wij gebruik van het splinternieuwe wandelnetwerk "Leader project" van Noord Luxemburg. Informatie en een link naar de wandelingen zijn te vinden op de site van visit Eislek.

We parkeerden de wagen tegenover het hotel St-Fiacre en wandelden de lus tegen de klok in. Waarmee we de mooie vallei van de 'Roupersbaach' indoken. We volgden het beekje tot in het dorpje 'Welscheid' waar het uitmond in het riviertje 'Wark'. Na het dorpje komt eerst een geleidelijke klim die overgaat in een pittige kuitenbijter tot aan de CR348 een autoluwe weg die men oversteekt om af te dalen richting het dorpje 'Michelau'. Beneden langs de Sûre zien we het dorpje liggen. 

Tot nu toe hebben we altijd goede bewegwijzering gehad maar vanaf hier gaat het fout. Op verschillende cruciale punten ontbreekt de bewegwijzering (Is gemeld aan Eislek). Neem dus een GPS track en/of een kaartje mee. We nemen altijd een GPS mee, geen probleem dus.

Winter, is geen bladeren aan de bomen, wat wil zeggen prachtige uitzichten op het benedenliggende dorp en de Sûre. Even verderop werden we getrakteerd op mooie uitzichten op het kasteel van Bourscheid. Vanaf dan stegen we al genietend van de prachtige uitzichten op Bourscheid, de valleien en het kasteel verder om uiteindelijk weer in Bourscheid de wagen op te pikken en al nagenietend naar de camping terug te rijden.

We did this loop walk on 21-12-2021. For the route we used the brand new hiking network "Leader project" of Northern Luxembourg. Information and a link to the walks can be found on the visit Eislek site.

We parked the car opposite the hotel St-Fiacre and walked the loop counterclockwise. With which we dived into the beautiful valley of the 'Roupersbaach'. We followed the stream to the village 'Welscheid' where it flows into the river 'Wark'. After the village there is a gradual climb that turns into a tough calf biter until the CR348, a car-free road that one crosses to descend towards the village of 'Michelau'. Down along the Sûre we see the village.

So far we have always had good signage but from here things go wrong. Signage is missing at several crucial points (Has been reported to Eislek). So bring a GPS track and/or a map. We always take a GPS with us, so no problem.

Winter, there are no leaves on the trees, which means beautiful views of the village below and the Sûre. A little further on we were treated to beautiful views of the castle of Bourscheid. From then on we continued to enjoy the beautiful views of Bourscheid, the valleys and the castle, before finally picking up the car again in Bourscheid and driving back to the campsite while enjoying the memories.
