We did this loop on 12/21/2021. For the route, we used the brand new pedestrian network "Projet Leader" in the north of Luxembourg. Information and a link to the hikes can be found on the Eislek tour page.
We parked the car in front of the Hotel St-Fiacre and walked counterclockwise. With that we plunged into the beautiful valley of the 'Roupersbaach'. We followed the stream to the village of Welscheid, where it flows into the Wark. After the village, there is a gradual climb, which turns into a difficult calf bite, to the CR348, a car-free road that we cross to descend to the village of "Michelau". Down on the Sûre we see the village.
So far we have always had good signage, but from then on it goes wrong. Signage is missing at several crucial points (reported in Eislek). So bring a GPS track and/or map with you. We always bring a GPS, so no problem.
In winter there are no leaves on the trees, which means beautiful views of the lower village and the Sûre. A little further on, we were spoiled with beautiful views of Bourscheid Castle . From then on, we enjoyed the magnificent view of Bourscheid, the valleys and the castle, to finally pick up the car in Bourscheid and return to the campsite with fun.
Enjoy this beautiful nature walk!!!

In winter there are no leaves on the trees, which means a beautiful view of the village below and the Sûre. A little further on, we were spoiled with beautiful views of Bourscheid Castle . From then on, we continued to enjoy the magnificent views of Bourscheid, the valleys and the castle, before finally getting back to the car in Bourscheid and returning to the campsite while enjoying the memories.
Enjoy this beautiful nature walk!!!
