Die Schlacht von Geronium war ein Gefecht zwischen Rom und Karthago im Herbst 217 v. Chr. im Zweiten Punischen Krieg.
Die älteste und besterhaltene Quelle ist das Geschichtswerk des griechischen Historikers Polybios. Dessen drittes Buch, das den Krieg gegen Hannibal von 219–216 v. Chr. schildert, liegt noch heute vollständig vor; die Bücher 6–15, die den darauf folgenden Verlauf des Krieges behandelten, sind wie alle weiteren Werke Polybios’ nur in Auszügen und Exzerpten vorhanden. Vollständig erhalten ist jedoch die ausführliche Darstellung des römischen Geschichtsschreibers Titus Livius, der sich in seinem Hauptwerk ab urbe condita hauptsächlich auf Polybios als Gewährsmann bezieht.
