Just an hour's drive from Brussels, just south of Charleroi, lies this 27km walking route on the Hainaut plateau. Along the valley of the Samber, this walk gives a true Ardennes feel.
Starting point the Abbey of Aulne. Today we follow the Samber towards Thuin, we climb through the historic upper city of Thuin, head towards the Oppidum, and then choose the narrowest or most secluded paths back to the starting point.
