Shaft Nulland

The Nulland Shaft belonged to the former Domain Mine in Kerkrade. The oldest coal mine in the Netherlands. Since 2006, it has been a branch of the Discovery Center Continium, Museumplein Limburg.
Former miners of the Domain Mine have established the foundation ‘Koempels van de Domaniale’. They have renovated the shaft and set it up as a museum. Since 2013, they have been providing guided tours for various groups, from elementary school classes to families and from associations to corporate outings.

Additionally, as of January 1, 2015, the Nulland Shaft is a wedding venue (for up to 25 people). In the shaft, you can admire an original lift, a mine bike, coal wagons, various machines, and all sorts of objects and photos from the mining era.
Recently, you can also take a look on the upper floor.
