This walk of just under 5 kilometers starts at the Muiderpoort station. Along the way, we explore the old Tuinwijck and the new Oostpoort. From the Ringdijk, we descend into the reclaimed Watergraafsmeer. Here, you will find three rings of years of the city in succession, featuring Dutch Art Nouveau, the Amsterdam School, and the post-war functionalist architectural style.
Passing under the railway embankment, we arrive at Science Park, the university campus for natural sciences. Via the Ringdijk and the Indische neighborhood, we return to the Muiderpoort station. A nice spot for a cup of tea is Elixer at Ambonplein.
