El Templo de Monte Grisa, oficialmente el Santuario Nacional de María Madre y Reina, es una iglesia católica romana al norte de la ciudad de Trieste. Situado a una altitud de 300 metros en el borde de la Meseta de Karst sobre Barcola y el Castillo de Miramare, es un hito muy conspicuo.
Fue construido por iniciativa de Antonio Santin, desde el 16 de mayo de 1938 Obispo de Trieste y Koper. Al ver los disturbios entre los ocupantes nazis y el Comitato di Liberazione Nazionale el 30 de abril de 1945, hizo una promesa de erigir una iglesia, si Trieste era salvada de la destrucción total. La ciudad fue salvada y en 1959 Santin obtuvo permiso del Papa Juan XXIII para construir una iglesia de peregrinación dedicada a la Santa María como símbolo de la paz y la unidad de todos los pueblos.
