Auf dem Dorfplatz von Etikhove wurde am 12. September 1926 ein "Schweinefest" organisiert anlässlich der offiziellen Eröffnung der neuen Weberei "Société de Tapis d'Art De Saedeleer et C°", in der sowohl Valerius De Saedeleer als auch seine Töchter eine wichtige Rolle spielten. Die Zahl der eingeladenen Gäste zu diesem Schweinefest wurde auf 400 geschätzt; es waren viele prominente Gäste aus der politischen und kulturellen Welt anwesend, darunter Architekt Henri Vandevelde, Minister Wouters, Stijn Streuvels, Geo Verbanck, Edgard Tytgat, Georges Creten, Albert Saverys, ...
