Tackenberg ist ein Stadtteil von Oberhausen, der teilweise zum Stadtbezirk Sterkrade und teilweise zum Stadtbezirk Osterfeld gehört. Sterkrade-Tackenberg oder Tackenberg-West zählte Ende 2016 10.413 und Osterfeld-Tackenberg 5.952 Einwohner. Der Osterfelder Teil Tackenbergs bildet den nördlichen Teil der ehemaligen Bauerschaft Klosterhardt und wird daher statistisch als Klosterhardt-Nord aufgeführt. Der Ortsteil erhielt seinen Namen von dem 72 m hohen Tackenberg, dessen Kuppe früher genau auf der Grenze zwischen dem Rheinland und Westfalen lag.
