Hüttlingen liegt am Rand der östlichen Schwäbischen Alb auf 400 bis 503 Metern Höhe am Kocherknie, etwa 7 km von der Kreisstadt Aalen entfernt.
Die Gemeinde grenzt im Nordwesten an Neuler, im Nordosten an Rainau, im Westen an Abtsgmünd und im Süden an die Kreisstadt Aalen.
