Der Einstieg dieser Wanderung ist in einer scharfen Kurve des Schützenplatzweges bei dem Haus der "Erlebnistage Harz". Nach einigen Metern im Wald treffen Sie auf die Verlängerung der Bohlwegloipe an der Sie parallel weitergehen bis zu einer Weggabelung. Dort biegen Sie nach rechts auf die "Alte Bobbahn" ein, gehen abwärts bis zur Wolfsbachstraße, dort nach rechts bergauf Richtung Hohegeiß bis ins Gretchental und in den Kurpark von Hohegeiß. Das Wolfsbachtal steht unter Naturschutz und der beschriebene Weg führt Sie einmal oberhalb und einmal unterhalb am Naturschutzgebiet „Dicke Tannen“ vorbei.
