Der Plaza de San Juan de Dios ist seit Jahrhunderten ein sehr einzigartiger und beliebter Platz , der als Plaza Mayor diente und ganz in der Nähe eines der Stadttore (dem heutigen Arco del Pópulo) liegt.
Bei einem Spaziergang über die Plaza de San Juan de Dios fallen mehrere interessante Gebäude auf, wie die Kirche San Juan de Dios , die zum alten Misericordia-Krankenhaus gehörte. Auch das Rathaus wurde hier im 16. Jahrhundert errichtet. Sehr bemerkenswert ist auch die Casa de los Pazos Miranda mit ihrer rosafarbenen Fassade.
Auf dem Platz befindet sich auch eine Statue , die Moret gewidmet ist, einem bekannten Politiker aus Cádiz. Die Palmen und Springbrunnen verleihen dem Platz eine ganz besondere Note.
