Il municipio di Oudenaarde fu costruito nel XVI secolo ed è stato realizzato in stile gotico finale brabansese dall'architetto Hendrik van Pede, il maestro d'opera di Bruxelles. La torre campanaria alta 40 m è coronata dalla leggendaria figura di Hanske de Krijger, una statua disoldato in rame alta 2 m con il vessillo cittadino. Contiene ovviamente una importante collezione di arazzi, ma anche argenteria e dipinti di Adriaan Brouwer, il più famoso artista di Oudenaarde. Il Servizio Comunale per il Turismo (un piccolo museo a sé stante) è situato nel municipio.
