De demarcatiepaal nr. 3 herinnert aan de Duitse verste opmars tijdens de Slag aan de IJzer, meer bepaald de Slag bij Ramskapelle en staat in een speciaal daartoe aangelegd perk samen met een miniatuurmolen, gelegen langs de Molenstraat, op het kruispunt met de Diksmuidseweg. Demarcatiepaal nr. 3 herdenkt het feit dat de Duitsers er hier in waren geslaagd de spoorwegbedding Nieuwpoort-Diksmuide over te steken en op te rukken tot aan de molen van Ramskapelle.
