The Bochum Hauptbahnhof underground station is located under Bochum Central Station. It is served by the lines U35, 302, 305, 306, 308, 310, 316 and 318 of the Bochum Stadtbahn.
The tower station has three levels. The top level only serves as a distribution level and has some shops and a service office of the Bogestra. On the middle level, the metre-gauge lines 306, 308 and 318 stop. The two tracks are located on two side platforms. On the lowest level, the standard-gauge tracks for the U 35 line and the metre-gauge tracks for the tram lines 302 and 310 are located in two halls, with the two platforms located between the standard-gauge tracks running in the middle and the outer metre-gauge tracks.
