Fabelweg "Lochbachpfad"

Along meadows and forests, this trail offers fascinating views across the Rinne valley to the Kellerwald forest, as well as to Knüllköpfchen and Eisenberg, the two highest elevations in the Knüll. Near Hülsa, depending on the season, you can wander through colorful meadows with wild orchids. If you turn your gaze to the side here, a unique panorama opens up. The highlight of the circular trail is the Lochbachklamm gorge, which is unique in northern Hesse. The Lochbach gushes quietly over red sandstone. An enchanted fern landscape has developed under the forest canopy. Numerous wooden bridges provide fabulous changes in perspective, while benches invite you to enjoy the silence and the babbling and linger for a while. At Wallenstein, the gorge opens up again into a meadow valley with species-rich orchards.
Following successful recertification by the German Hiking Institute, the Lochbachpfad is now officially a premium hiking trail.
