The church of Baroville dates from the 12th century.
The pentagonal apse dates from that period. Today, however, this church dedicated to Saint-Etienne has a very different silhouette than before . During the reconstruction in the 18th century, the building took the shape of a rectangular hall.
The parish remained under the authority of Clairvaux Abbey , which was its sole lord until the Revolution. The seigneury contributed to the economic development of the abbey thanks to its land, vineyards and forests. The church is not listed, but is home to a number of listed and inscribed statues, as well as a number of notable works of art, including an 18th-century high altar and altarpiece, listed in 1976, and a 14th-century polychrome limestone statue of the Virgin and Child, classified in 1908.
