El valle superior de Kalltal con sus arroyos es un área de conservación de aproximadamente 135 ha en el municipio de Simmerath en Renania del Norte-Westfalia. Se encuentra al norte del distrito de Lammersdorf y limita directamente río abajo con el área de conservación de Kalltal. El área de conservación se encuentra completamente dentro de la mucho más amplia zona FFH DE-5303-302 Kalltal y valles secundarios. Por lo tanto, forma parte de la red de áreas protegidas europeas Natura 2000.
