El Vuelo 8509 de Korean Air Cargo era un Boeing 747-2B5F, registrado como HL7451 con destino al Aeropuerto de Milán-Malpensa, que se estrelló debido a un error del piloto, el 22 de diciembre de 1999, poco después de despegar del Aeropuerto de Londres-Stansted. El avión se estrelló en Hatfield Forest, cerca del pueblo de Great Hallingbury, cerca de algunas casas. Las 4 personas de la tripulación murieron a bordo.[1][2]
El avión en cuestión era un Boeing 747-2B5F carguero registrado como HL7451. Construido el 4 de abril de 1980, la aeronave había completado 15.451 vuelos con un tiempo total de vuelo de 83.011 horas antes de su vuelo fatal el 22 de diciembre de 1999.
