Carmagnola és un municipi italià, situat a la regió del Piemont i a la ciutat metropolitana de Torí. L'any 2007 tenia 27.043 habitants. Limita amb els municipis de Caramagna Piemonte ,Carignano, Ceresole Alba , Lombriasco, Poirino, Racconigi , Sommariva del Bosco i Villastellone.
La ciutat de Carmagnola està a la riba dreta del Po, en una plana per on passa el riu abans de desviar-se cap al nord perquè es troba el pas barrat amb el pujol anomenat Superga. En el territori municipal de Carmagnola les aigües del torrent Meletta s'uneixen a les del Po. També rep aquí l'afluència del Banna i del Stellone. Aquests corrents d'aigua han determinat el tipus de terreny, ja que al llarg dels anys han anat dipositant els llims i rebles que configuren l'actual paisatge.
