El Monumento aos Descobrimentos , popularment conegut com el Padrão dos Descobrimentos és un monument construït el 1960, al marge del riu Tajo o Tejo, a la freguesia de Belém , per commemorar els 500 anys de la mort d'Enric el Navegant, rei de Portugal durant l'era de l'exploració.Fou encarregat pel règim de Salazar, té uns 52 metres d'alçada i celebra als mariners, patrons reials i tots els qui varen participar en el desenvolupament de l'Era de l'Exploració. Els autors de l'obra són l'arquitecte José Ângelo Cottinelli Telmo i l'escultor Leopoldo de Almeida.
