Unter der Bezeichnung Kraftwerk Schwarze Pumpe wird heute ein 1993 bis 1998 errichtetes und von der LEAG betriebenes Braunkohle-Großkraftwerk, bestehend aus zwei Kraftwerksblöcken mit einer Leistung von je 800 MW, verstanden. Es befindet sich auf dem Areal des Industrieparks Schwarze Pumpe. Auf diesem Gelände gab es bereits seit 1955 mehrere, heute nicht mehr existierende Kraftwerke.
Im Rahmen der Errichtung des VEB Gaskombinat Schwarze Pumpe wurden auf dem Gelände des heutigen Industrieparks auch drei Kraftwerke mit der Bezeichnung Kraftwerk Schwarze Pumpe West, Mitte und Ost in Betrieb genommen. Der erste Kraftwerksblock lieferte ab 1959 Elektroenergie sowie Prozessdampf. Die Blockleistungen betrugen zwischen 25 und 100 MW. Mit dem Ende des Gaskombinats wurden zwischen 1990 und 1998 auch die zugehörigen Kraftwerke stillgelegt und abgerissen.
