Naila [ˈnaɪ̯laː] ist eine Stadt in Oberfranken. Sie liegt etwa 18 Kilometer westlich der kreisfreien Stadt Hof und liegt im Frankenwald. Bis 1972 war Naila Kreisstadt des gleichnamigen Landkreises, seit 1993 ist die Stadt ein Mittelzentrum im Landkreis Hof.
Naila liegt im östlichen Frankenwald am Flüsschen Selbitz. Die Höhenmarke am Nailaer Bahnhof zeigt 501 Meter über Normalnull. Der höchste Punkt im Gemeindegebiet liegt in 710 Meter Höhe bei Döbrastöcken am Anstieg zum Döbraberg, der niedrigste auf 488 Meter an der Selbitz am Eingang des Höllentales.
