Die High Line ist eine 2,33 Kilometer lange, nicht mehr als solche genutzte Güterzugtrasse im Westen von Manhattan, die von 2006 bis 2019 zu einer Parkanlage, dem High Line Park, umgebaut wurde. Der erste Abschnitt wurde im Juni 2009 der Öffentlichkeit übergeben. Der dritte Abschnitt des Parks wurde am 21. September 2014 eröffnet und der letzte „the Spur“ am 5. Juni 2019.
Anders als das restliche Hochbahnnetz von New York City wurde die High Line nicht für den Personenverkehr erbaut, sondern war als ein ehemaliger Streckenabschnitt der West Side Freight Line für den Güterverkehr errichtet worden. Der erhaltene Teil des Hochbahn-Viaduktes führt von der West 34th Street in Hell’s Kitchen bis zur Gansevoort Street im Meatpacking District.
