Das MetLife Building, früher Pan Am Building, ist ein Wolkenkratzer an der Park Avenue in Manhattan, einem Stadtteil von New York City.
Die Bauarbeiten zum Gebäude begannen 1960 und endeten 1963. Ausführender Architekt war die Firma Emery Roth & Sons, der beim Entwurf Walter Gropius und Pietro Belluschi zu Seite standen. Mit 246 Metern Höhe aufgeteilt in 60 Stockwerke ist es heute das 21-höchste Gebäude in New York City. Ursprünglich beherbergte es die Verwaltung der Fluggesellschaft Pan American World Airways . 1981 kaufte es die Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. 1993 wurde es von Pan Am Building in MetLife Building umbenannt. Der auffällige Schriftzug an der Fassade unterhalb des Daches wurde ausgetauscht. Die Immobilienfirma Tishman Speyer Properties erwarb das Gebäude für 1,72 Milliarden US-Dollar. Die eigentliche Anschrift ist 200 Park Avenue; es erstreckt sich von der 43. bis zur 45. Straße.
