Letchworth Garden City

Letchworth Garden City is the first garden city ever designed. It was created by city planner Raymond Unwin. It includes the philosophy of the Briste garden village philosopher Ebenezer Howard . In 1898 he wrote Garden Cities of Tomorrow: "City and countryside must form a joyful unity from which a new hope, a new life and a new civilization will arise."
