Situada en la antigua central eléctrica de Bankside. Expone la
colección internacional de arte moderno (obras de Bacon, Dalí, Picasso, Matisse, Warhol,…). El edificio es una sólida construcción industrial de ladrillo rojo con una
chimenea de 99 m. de altura. Está comunicada con la catedral de San Pablo por el puente peatonal (Milenium Bridge).
Metro: Blackfriars y Southwark. No fotos. Gratis.
Horario: 10-22 h. (sab.) y 10-18 h. el resto.
Antes pertenecía a la TATE GALLERY, pero desde el año 2000 se dividió en dos: la Tate Modern y la Tate Britain (Acoge la colección de arte británico (s. XVI a XX).
